Bratwurst, beer, and a bit of Bavarian music come to Rio Rancho this weekend for the annual Oktoberfest. The celebration of German culture happens at Haynes park across from Intel both Saturday and Sunday from 11:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. Only the annual Pork n' Brew is larger than this party.

It's not just beer and music for the adults, though. Kids can pet the animals at a petting zoo, bounce in the jumpers and play games. This year's festival includes a German car show and a Miss Oktoberfest contest. Turtle Mountain in Rio Rancho will be unveiling its 2012 Oktoberfest lager, available only at the festival until Monday, when it goes on tap at the restaurant. Find out more about this Oktoberfest and others happening in the state over the next few weeks.
