Sunday is Veterans Day, with many ways to honor those who have served. Have a safe and wonderful weekend.

Latin Diva Series: Magos Herrera
The Latin Diva series brings the best Latina artists to Albuquerque. This sixteenth annual concert series features Mexican singer-songwriter Magos Herrera, who blends classical jazz with Latin melodies. Hear her at the National Hispanic Cultural Center Friday, November 9.

Weems Artfest
The annual ArtFest is a great place to purchase art made by local artists and help local charities. The Artfest is a nonprofit organization dedicated to education of the arts. See it at the New Mexico Expo November 9 - 11.

Letters to New Mexico
In honor of the New Mexico Centennial, everyone's invited to write letters to the state. Tell stories about growing up in the desert, what you love about the state, or what it means to be a New Mexican. Drop by the Taylor Ranch library to write your history November 9 - 11.

New Mexico Veterans Art Exhibit
Enjoy art in every genre, from photography to painting. Veterans and those who have served in the national guard will display their creative talents at the Fine Arts Building, New Mexico Expo. This is a free event and begins November 9, running through November 24.

Zoo Discovery Day
The Rio Grande Zoo will have wildlife discovery stations set up from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, November 10.

St. Francis Holiday Bazaar and Craft Fair
There will be holiday shopping, a bake sale and a silent auction. Boy Scout Troop 417 will sell hot dogs and hamburgers for lunch. Admission is free. The bazaar takes place at St. Francis Church, 2903 Cabezon Blvd. SE in Rio Rancho (corner of Golf Course Rd. and 19th/Cabezon Blvd), 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, November 10.

Annie, Jr.
The hit Broadway show about the redheaded orphan has been formatted for kids. See it at the KiMo Theatre November 10 and 11.

V-Day 11.11.11
The documentary honors those who have served in the military, with portraits of dozens of veterans. See the full length film at the KiMo on Veteran's Day, November 11.
