Those looking for vegan and vegetarian restaurants in the Albuquerque area are finding more and more options. The vegan lifestyle is a trend so new restaurants are popping up to accommodate. The UNM area has its own vegan restaurant, Mint Tulip. Open for breakfast and lunch Monday through Saturday, it provides a fast sandwich shop experience without the meat. I've made several visits so I could provide readers with this review.

My favorite vegan restaurant, Thai Vegan, now has a second location in Nob Hill. It's every bit as tasty as the original, but the restaurant is about three times the size. Visit it if you get a chance; it's just to the east of the Route 66 Malt Shop. I've also compiled a listing of some of the area's vegan and vegetarian restaurants.
