Winter Break Camps and Activities

By December 17, 2012

School is just about on break, though some schools have already let their students out for winter vacation. Albuquerque Public Schools (APS) will begin their winter break December 24 and reopen on January 8, 2013. As of this Friday, December 21, the kids will be looking for something to do.

There's no reason the kids have to be plugged into video games the entire break. There is snow in the Sandias, where they can snowshoe, ski or snowboard. There's also bowling, ice skating and indoor playgrounds to keep them busy. Check wit your local library to see what's happening over the break. And of course, there are winter break camps of every type, from arts to basketball to science (and more).

Students return to school at APS January 8, as January 7 is a teacher in-service day. See the APS school calendar for 2012-2013.
