The New Mexico Museum of Natural History and Science foundation presents their Chocolate Fantasy fundraiser each year in late winter. The black tie event features a creative theme, and this year's is Once Upon a Time: An Enchanted Chocolate Fantasy. There will be chocolate sculptures and edible samples created by regional chocolatiers who will compete to win Best of Show with their unique take on the night's theme.
In addition to food and chocolate, guests will also have the chance to bid on donated items at an auction. There will be connoisseur wines, luxury vacations, jewelry and more. Proceeds from the event benefit the museum foundation.
The 21st annual Chocolate Fantasy charity event takes place Saturday, March 2, 2013 at the Tamaya Resort. Tickets are $200 per person, with $75 tax-deductible. The night runs from 7 p.m. to midnight.
In the meantime, if you crave chocolate to take home, here is a list of shops where you can pick some up.
