Return of Old Friends Concert
Hear the banjo, guitar and vocals of Elliot Rogers, Alan Munde and Wayne Shrubsall at the South Broadway Cultural Center on Friday, February 15 at 7 p.m. There will also be bluegrass banjo and guitar workshops offered; contact inquiry@siliconheights.com for information.

The Yjastros American Flamenco Repertory Company has its final spring preview performance Friday, February 15 at Rodey Theater at UNM. The 8:00 p.m. performance features UNM flamenco students.

Monster Jam
Monster trucks will rev into Tingley Coliseum on February 15 and 16. See Monster Mutt Dalmation, Monster Mutt Rottwiler and Monster Mutt as they roll and rumble. Earplugs are suggested for children.

The Broadway hit comes to the Popejoy stage this weekend. The show features a singing girl group from the 1960s as they aim for fame. Shows at Popejoy continue February 15 through 17.

Tick, Tick Boom!
Aux Dog Theatre presents the story of a composer/lyricist trying to make it in the Big Apple. The musical has a rock score. See it Fridays and Saturdays at 8, Sundays at 2 p.m. through March 3. The February 17 performance is at 7:30 p.m.

Discover STEM Day
Families can participate in hands-on activities with scientists and engineers at the National Museum of Nuclear Science and History. Kids will enjoy the rockets, solar cooking, and using liquid nitrogen to make ice cream. It's happening Saturday, February 16 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The 11th annual KlezmerQuerque is a festival of concerts, workshops and dance parties over the three day President's day weekend. Enjoy the traditional dance and music of the eastern European Jews--klezmer. Dances are led by Bruce Bierman. The three days of concerts, dance parties and workshops take place at Nahalat Shalom February 15 - 17.

The ABQ Home Expo
Whether you're considering purchasing a home, building one, or improving where you live, there are exhibitors on hand to answer your questions and show the latest in home building and improvement. Tickets can be purchased at the event or online; price break for online tickets. It's at New Mexico Expo February 16 and 17.

Great Backyard Bird Count
Join bird watchers for this annual nationwide birding event. Citizen scientists will collect information on migratory birds It takes place at Tingley Beach on February 16 and at the Botanic Gardens on February 17.

Albuquerque Jazz Festival
Hear the Albuquerque Jazz Orchestra with special guest saxophonist Dick Oatts at Eldorado High School. The show begins at 7 p.m. on Saturday, February 16.

Bobby Shew Quartet
The famous jazz trumpeter and his quartet will perform upbeat love songs this Sunday at the Bosque Retreat Center, 6400 Coors NW. Tickets for the 3 p.m. show can be found online or at the door.

Cause of the Week

Dancing Classrooms NM Variety Dance
Dancing Classrooms New Mexico will have a variety dance and fundraiser Sunday, February 17 from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. Move to west coast swing, the cha cha, foxtrot, rumble, hustle, country 2-step and more. There will be a long wooden dance floor as well as snacks to keep up your energy. Proceeds benefit Dancing Classrooms New Mexico, which provides the program in five Rio Rancho elementary schools. Dance is at Milonga de las Puertas, 1512 First NW.
