Heart Hospital of New Mexico

The Heart Hospital of New Mexico is part of the Lovelace Medical system. It specializes in cardiology, cardiovascular and surgery services It has a 24 hour emergency department and cardiac rehabilitation services. There are five catheterization laboratories and 55 private patient rooms.

Kindred Hospital

Kindred Hospital provides specialized care for patients in need of extended hospital stays. They are an accredited long-term acute care facility with 61 beds, an ICU and two medical/surgical units. Lovelace Westside

Lovelace Westside provides care for patients on Albuquerque's westside and Rio Rancho. They have a birthing center, a 24 hour emergency department, a medical weight loss program, and in the spring of 2012, they will open an inpatient pediatric unit with 24 hour coverage.

Lovelace Women's Hospital

Lovelace Women's Hospital is devoted to women's health, providing birthing, neonatal intensive care and a breast care center. They have a maternal-fetal medicine program and a pediatric unit for children under 18.

Presbyterian Hospital

The largest acute care hospital in New Mexico, Presbyterian has a 24 hour emergency room and 453 licensed beds. Presbyterian Healthcare Services run a non-profit system of hospitals as well as a health plan and medical group. The Presbyterian system has eight hospitals in New Mexico, two in Albuquerque. It is the largest provider of health care in New Mexico.

Presbyterian Kaseman Hospital

Kaseman in Albuquerque's northeast heights is a general and acute care hospital with 24 hour emergency rooms. The hospital has 170 licensed and 111 staffed beds. It provides emergency and surgical services, behavioral health, and the M.D. Anderson Cancer Center Radiation Treatment Center. Physical therapy and radiology are also provided. Kaseman has inpatient hospice and a sleep disorders center.

Presbyterian Rust Hospital

Rust Presbyterian in Rio Rancho provides a place where Rio Rancho and Westside residents can easily access care. Rust is Presbyterian's 21st century hospital and opened in 2011. The hospital has a 24 hour emergency room, labor and delivery services, operating rooms, cardiac services, MRI and imaging, and intensive care.

UNM Hospital

The University of New Mexico Hospital is the largest academic health complex in New Mexico, and the state's only academic medical center. It is a Level 1 trauma center and has a 24 hour emergency room. The children's hospital, Carrie Tingley Hospital, has both an inpatient and outpatient component. UNM plans to open a second hospital in Rio Rancho in 2012.

UNM Sandoval Regional Medical Center

The Sandoval Regional Medical Center is an acute care facility with two medical/surgical units, an ICU and ER. The hospital is equipped for behavioral health crises intervention. The 72 bed facility is located in the city center of Rio Rancho, close to Bernalillo, Rio Rancho, and the westside of Albuquerque.

Veterans Administration Medical Center

The Albuquerque VA hospital provides inpatient and outpatient health care. It offers over 400 physicians, dentists, nurse practitioners as well as licensed independent contractors.
