Christmas Corral 
The Galloping Grace Youth Ranch will have a Christmas Corral with animals from November 29 to December 22. There is no admission and all ages are welcome. You'll find a candy maze, elf workshop, candy cane golf, gingerbread house and more. Christmas trees will be available for purchase. Find it at City Center in Rio Rancho.e. Find affordable gifts for Christmas that are one of a kind. It happens Thanksgiving weekend, November 29 and 30 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday, December 1 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Miracle on 34th Street
Follow Kris Kringle as he helps a little girl understand there really is a Santa Claus. Playing at the Albuquerque Little Theatre weekends through Christmas.

Albuquerque Civic Chorus Holiday Songs
Hear the Albuquerque Civic Chorus sing the Christmas Oratorio by Saint-Saens and the Ceremony of Carols by Britten. For tickets, call (505) 848-1320. Hear them at the South Broadway Cultural Center.

Madrid Christmas Open House
Santa will be on hand in Madrid to listen to whispered wishes, along with Mrs. Claus, stage coach rides, music, carolers and a variety of entertainment. There will also be the open galleries and art shows Madrid is famous for.

Nutcracker Ballet
Hear Tchaikovsky's classic music of the Nutcracker. The New Mexico Ballet Company will be accompanied by the New Mexico Philharmonic Orchestra for two weekends of the Nutcracker. Special guest dancers from the New York City and American Ballet troupes will perform.
7 p.m. November 30, 7 p.m. December 1, 2 p.m. December 7 and 2 p.m.  &7 p.m.

Family Fun Holiday Art Workshop
Take some time to make and take holiday crafts at the Albuquerque Museum.

Joe Bonamassa
The musician will perform at the Albuquerque Convention Center for one show only.

Turkmenistan Music and Dance
Seventy-eight Turkmen from Albuquerque's sister city of Ashgabat, Turkmenistan will sing in a concert at the Hyatt downtown. The concert starts at 6 p.m. and is free and open to the public. The cities have had the sister relationship since 1990.
For 2013: December 6

Old Town Holiday Stroll
Enjoy live music, dancing, strolling carolers and even a visit from Santa Claus in Old Town. The luminarias will be glowing and the shops will be overflowing with holiday fare. Festivities begin at 4 p.m. The color guard will play the national anthem and raise the flag at 5:30 p.m. and the blessing of the tree takes place at 5:55 p.m. The tree will be lit at 6:10 p.m. The Santa parade begins at 6:15 p.m. The stroll is free.

First Friday Fractals
Art and science meet under the planetarium dome for these live presentations. Fractals Rock has more rock music and less talk.

First Friday ARTScrawl
With over 20 different galleries throughout the city participating, you can choose which ones to visit to find out what's happening with guilds, individual artists and ongoing shows.

Holiday Fair
Find fresh garlands, wreaths and poinsettias made by master gardeners at the Albuquerque Garden Center. There will be over 40 crafts booths.

Nutcracker on the Rocks
The Keshet Dance Company's Nutcracker defies expectations, performs classic rock and roll tunes, uses wheelchairs for ballet to create an exciting performance that has become an Albuquerque classic.

Home for the Holidays Concert
Three UNM choirs will sing at the KiMo Theatre. Hear UNM Children's Chorus, the Concert Choir and Las Cantantes sing holiday favorites.

The Old San Ysidrao Church in Corrales will host a fine arts craft show.

The Festival of Trees
The Festival of Trees is a fundraiser for Carrie Tingley Foundation to help the hospitals' special needs kids. Carrie Tingley hospitals offer children a place to get well and improve their chance at life. Donate your time, purchase an ornament, or make or bring your own to help the cause. The Festival takes place at Sandia Casino.

The Best Christmas Pageant Ever
When a church Christmas pageant has to cast the Herdman kids, some of the worst kids in history, the mayhem and fun ensues. See the well loved play at the Adobe Theater.

Faster Santa! Kill Kill
The show about killer elves will be performed by The Dolls, Albuquerque's drag troupe, at the Aux Dog Theatre.

Bugg Lights Display: Ten Nights of Christmas
The walk-through displays feature handcrafted characters. The Bugg Lights have been a local tradition for over 40 years. Refreshments, musical entertainment and Santa in his workshop, along with nightly entertainment, all at Menaul School. On opening night, hear the Bugg Lights Orchestra play seasonal tunes; the inter-generational band is an annual tradition.

Nob Hill Shop and Stroll
The annual shop and stroll features Santa Claus, free trolley rides, mariachis, carolers and great shopping and food.

Twinkle Light Parade
The annual Twinkle Light Parade features Santa Claus and over 100 floats with twinkling lights. Visit the parade this year in Nob Hill, and participate in the district's annual Shop and Stroll.

Noche de Luces
The historic Casa san Ysidro will be decorated with greens and farolitos. Join in singing carols around a bonfire and making ornaments for the season at this family friendly event.

Kindred Spirits Christmas Concert
Hear Santa's greatest hits, unplugged, at the Taylor Ranch Library from 4 p.m. - 5 p.m. Drew and Robin Carlin will sing holiday songs from a variety of styles.

Climb the stairs at Pat Hurley Park with other community members committed to staying fit.

Holiday Stop and Shop
The annual event in Los Ranchos features more than 30 businesses and restaurants in a small area, making it easy to shop for the holidays. A printable map is available online; vendor hours and specials can be found by visiting individual websites. Look for numbered signs with the balloons for participating shops. Raffles for gift baskets and refreshments are part of each day. Each merchant will be giving back to a charity. December 7 - 8 along Fourth Street in Los Ranchos.

Holiday Concert
Hear the Albuquerque Concert Band as they perform holiday music. They'll perform at the KiMo Theatre in a free concert.

Christmas at Kuaua
The evening of holiday fun includes luminarias, a bonfire, a visit from Santa, Native dancers, biscochito cookies, hot apple cider and cocoa. Kids can make their own Christmas ornament. There will be music, traditional Pueblo dances and Native American storytelling. Find it at the Coronado Monument.

Holidays Take Flight
Head to the Balloon Museum and enjoy decorating holiday balloon cookies, making crafts and visit with balloon pilot Santa. Hot drinks and treats will be for sale as well as a New Mexico shopping "village" with local businesses and artisans. Get your picture taken with Balloon Pilot Santa.

Snow Globe Workshop
Make a customized snow globe at the Main Library, from 3:30 p.m. to 5 p.m. Register at 768-5136 or stop by the youth desk to register. For ages 7 - 18.

Moscow Ballet's Great Russian Nutcracker
The Moscow Ballet has toured across America for 19 years. See the company of 40 Vaganova-trained dancers this holiday season as they perform the classic holiday dance for one show only. This is an all ages event.

AMP Concert with the Hollands!
The internationally touring family engages audiences in sing alongs. See them at the Erna Fergusson Library from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. This is a free event.

Mariachi Christmas
Swirling dresses, stomping feet and mariachi music combine into one unforgettable show.

Christmas Joy
The Performers Ballet and Jazz Company performs ballet and jazz dance in this Bravos award winning holiday production. Over 60 dancers will perform to holiday music. See it at the National Hispanic Cultural Center.

Winterfest
Rio Rancho features this annual event where you can enjoy a parade filled with holiday lights and special floats. After the parade, tour the luminarias. A holiday lighting ceremony at city hall at 5 p.m. Refreshments, arts and crafts and pictures with Santa at city hall from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. There will be a train for kids to ride on, holiday music and movies.

Ballet Repertory Theater Nutcracker Ballet
The Ballet Repertory Theatre brings the classic tale of toy soldiers, dancing snowflakes the nutcracker and little Clara to life. The Ballet Repertory Theatre has performed the Nutcracker since 1996. Additional ticket charges for the Christmas Eve performance includes attendance to a Nutcracker Tea following the performance. Meet your favorite Nutcracker characters and taste treats from the Land of Sweets. See it at the KiMo.

Dan Hicks and the Hot Licks: Holidaze in Hicksville 
Dan Hicks is a large figure in American roots music. Hear him perform at the South Broadway Cultural Center.

Gingerbread Storytime
A special toddler storytime takes place at 10:30 a.m. at the South Valley Library. This is a free event.

Las Posadas in Corrales
The Corrales Historical Society re-enacts the journey of Mary and Joseph and that special night in Bethlehem. Two local children portray Joespeh and Mary, and choral music tells the tale.
