Dog Trainings
The Animal Humane of New Mexico will have several classes for training your dog: Puppy Preschool, Civilized Canine and Perfect Pub Pet.

Family Art Workshops
The Albuquerque Museum offers hands on workshops that encourage creative thinking and explorations into art. The workshops are free with regular admission.

Science in the Sky
Children and their adult explorers can enjoy science in many forms on Thursday mornings in February at the Balloon Museum. The program is designed especially for K-5. Every Thursday from 10 a.m. to noon. Free with museum admission.

Sunday Chatter
Every week at Sunday Chatter, folks gather to hear classical music, poetry and more. Arrive at the Kosmos Gallery before 10 a.m. for the complementary espresso bar. Each program of ensemble music and poetry/spoken word begins at 10:30 a.m. Tickets available only at the door. Frequent passes are available.

Winter Fire Color
The Mediterranean Conservatory at the Botanic Gardens will feature a floral display of hot colors to warm up the cold winter days. Free with admission.

Revolutions Theatre Festival
Jim Linnell's poetry is brought to life onstage at the Tricklock February 1. Roadway Closed to Pedestrians will be at the National Hispanic Cultural Center February 1. The Reptilian Lounge cabaret at Tricklock happens February 2.

Albuquerque Youth Symphony Concert
The high school students from the Albuquerque Youth Symphony will perform at Popejoy Hall. Tickets are $10 and benefit the music program.

Todd Tijerina Band
The singer/songwriter/guitarist plays a blend of blues, funk, roots-rock and jazz. See him perform at the Juan Tabo Library February 5 at noon, or the South Valley Library February 6 at noon. The two concerts are free, but pre-registration is required.

Vaccination Clinic
Animal Humane of New Mexico offers vaccines, microchips, and canine heartworm testing/preventative medication for the general public from 8 a.m. - 11 a.m.; for any other service, you must qualify and make an appointment during regular business hours. Vaccination clinics are open to the public regardless of income; prices are the same for everyone. First Friday of every month.

First Friday Fractals
Art and science meet under the planetarium dome for these live presentations. Fractals Rock has more rock music and less talk. See it the first Friday of every month at the New Mexico Museum of Natural History and Science.

First Friday ARTScrawl
With over 20 different galleries throughout the city participating, you can choose which ones to visit to find out what's happening with guilds, individual artists and ongoing shows. The free Artscrawl happens the first Friday of every month.

New Mexico Shrine Circus
The three ring Shrine Circus runs for three days and eight shows. All proceeds benefit Ballut Abayd Shrine Center, which gives to children who need medical care. See it at the New Mexico Expo; you have eight shows to choose from.

Taste of Rio Rancho
Taste what Rio Rancho restaurants have to offer at the 4th annual Taste of Rio Rancho. Chefs will be gathered and giving away samples of their food while supplies last. Pre-taste tickets are $15 and allow entry at 4 p.m. and no lines or crowds. General admission is $10 and begins at 5 p.m. Participants include Turtle Mountain Brew Pub, Fat Squirrel Pub and Grille, Hot Tamales, Joe's Pasta House and more.

An Evening with hONEyhoUSe
New Mexico favorites hONEyhoUSe will perform at the Outpost Performance Space to celebrate putting the finishing touches on their new CD. Your ticket gets you a pre-release download of the new song "Conquer the World." Doors open at 6:30 and the concert starts at 7 p.m.

Gershwin and Company
The New Mexico Philharmonic will perform Gershwin's Rhapsody in Blue. Pianist Logan Skelton will perform. Hear selections from Porgy and Bess and An American and Paris, conducted by Randol Bass.

The southwest's largest indoor hot rod and custom car event features over 200 hot rods, custom cars, trucks and more. See it at New Mexico Expo.

The Italian Film and Culture Festival features a concert, films, talks, a bocce tournament and more.

Adults Only Valentine's Day Tours
Three tours are available: "Birds and the Beasts," at the zoo; "Love Bugs" at the Botanic Gardens and "That's a Moray!" at the Aquarium. The tour is for adults only, 18 and older.
