An Albuquerque Christmas glows with the holiday spirit. Since December takes us to the darkest time of year, Albuquerque does its part to turn up the lights. Find luminarias, light festivals, seasonal music, crafts fairs, and other holiday activities to get you in the spirit. Events occur in date order.

This will be the 30th year for Weems Artfest. You'll find artists, arts and crafts, a silent auction, and a children's art mart.
Fall into Christmas Craft Sale

Cibola Best Buddies Arts and Crafts Fair

The Junior League of Albuquerque hosts a holiday shopping fair at Hotel Albuquerque. Have brunch, photos with Santa, and shop. $10 per person, children under 2 are free. For brunch and shopping, tickets are $35 per person.

The annual market takes place November 29 from 2 p.m. - 9 p.m., and November 30 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. The arts and crafts focus on traditional Spanish arts such as santeros.

The annual holiday show features over 200 artists, entertainment, food and holiday music. There will be a Holiday Creation Station for kids, where they can craft their own gifts. Admission is $7 adults, 3 day pass $9, children under 12 free. $5 parking fee.
Cliff's Magical Christmas

Hours are 5 p.m. - 9 p.m.
Cliff's Amusement Park will be open Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays until Christmas. See a display of lights, hear holiday music and have a bit of seasonal fun. There will be hot food, rides, face painting, a 100 foot tall Christmas tree and of course, Santa Claus.
Miracle on 34th Street

The classic movie story about Kris Kringle comes to the stage of the Albuquerque Little Theatre. Kris unleashes goodwill and transforms a cynical New York City in this classic tale. Celebrate the season of joy.
A Sugar Plum Fairy Nutcracker Tea
The New Mexico Ballet Company is having a Nutcracker Tea at the Hotel Albuquerque. Dress in your best holiday wear and have tea in the Kingdom of Sweets. The Sugar Plum Fairy might appear. Children will have their own menu. The Nutcracker story will be read and a selection of the ballet will be performed. Enjoy a raffle, holiday boutique and more.
River of Lights
November 30 - January 5
The River of Lights runs nightly through January 5. Ropes of colored lights shaped into special glowing sculptures dazzle the Botanic Gardens. Every year, there are new sculptures, a snowman village made of glass, music, carolers, a holiday railroad train (featuring Snoopy), and more.

November 30 - December 8
The New Mexico Ballet Company will be accompanied by the New Mexico Philharmonic Orchestra for two weekends of the Nutcracker. Special guest dancers from the New York City and American Ballet troupes will perform. See it at Popejoy Hall November 30, December 1, 7 and 8.
