Easter brings baskets and bunnies.

Looking for a place to hang your basket? Here are some details on some fun community events for you to enjoy during the Easter season. Celebrate with a delicious Easter brunch, take the kids out on an egg hunt, or hop out for some baseball fun.

Easter Celebrations

Easter Brunch
Find a special place to enjoy Easter brunch at a family friendly event. Brunch options range from casual to elegant. Many place, younger kids eat free.

Eggs N' Beggin Dog Parade and Costume Contest
Pooches and their owners will hit the park dressed in Easter themed gear.
Where: Cabezon Park, Rio Rancho
When: 10 a.m., Saturday, April 7
Cost: Free parade; costume contest $5 per dog entry.

Easter Eggstravagana
Where: Hinkle Family Fun Center, 12391 Indian School NE, on the Mini Golf Course.
When: Saturday, April 7, 2 p.m. - 5 p.m.
What: Visit the interactive booths on the miniature golf course. There will be egg decorating and a visit with the Easter Bunny as well as a hunt for eggs and candy.

Easter Enrichment at the Zoo
Zoo animals will get special papier-mache toys, egg shaped cereal bars, treats and hard boiled eggs. Come see the primates, hoofstock, carnivores and elephants get their Easter treats.
Where: Rio Grande Zoo
When: April 8, 9 a.m. - 11 a.m.
Cost: Free with regular admission.

Pictures with the Easter Bunny
Where: Coronado Center, Sears Court
When: Through April 7
What: Get your photo with the Easter Bunny while looking for that special Easter outfit. Visit with the bunny or get your child's photo taken. The Easter bunny will be taking photos Monday - Saturday from 10 a.m. - 8 p.m., and Sunday noon to 6 p.m.

Where: Cottonwood Mall
When: Through April 7
What: The kids can get their picture taken with the Easter Bunny at Cottonwood.

Visit the Easter Bunny
Where: ABQ's Playroom, 8850 Holly NE
When: April 6 and 7 from 10:30 a.m. - 11:30 a.m.
What: Create an Easter craft and get your picture taken with the Easter Bunny.

Easter Egg Hunts

Easter Egg Hunt
Head to Paradise Hills Park to hunt for eggs and win prizes. For kids 1 - 10.
Where: 5901 Paradise Blvd. NW
When: Saturday, March 31, 10 a.m. SHARP
What: Egg hunts, games, and fun in the park.

Los Lunas Easter Egg Hunt
Where: Daniel Fernandez Park, 1103 Highway 314
When: 4 p.m., Wednesday, April 4

Shriners Easter Egg Hunt
Kids can hunt for eggs and prizes, enjoy face painting, balloon art, an egg toss, an egg race, hot dogs and chips and a visit from the Easter Bunny. The event is free.
Where: Shrine Center, 6600 Zuni SE
When: 11 a.m. - 2 p.m., Saturday, April 7

Los Ranchos Egg Hunt
Kids under 12 and their families can bring their baskets and enjoy the hunt for candy and eggs.
Where: Hartnett Park, Los Ranchos
When: Saturday, April 7, 10 a.m.

Easter Egg Hunt at Storyrock Neighborhood
Bring the kids to Storyrocks park where they can hunt for eggs and win prizes.
Where: Storyrocks neighborhood park
When: 4 p.m. Saturday, April 7

Mama's Minerals Easter Egg Hunt
The hunt begins at noon and lasts until 2 p.m. Over 1,000 eggs will be filled with tumbled stones, beads, fossils, minerals and coupons for free stone eggs. Kids can get their picture taken with the Easter Bunny. Learn about pet rabbit care, and enjoy face painting and the coloring booth. The hunt is open to children 12 and under with an adult in attendance.
Where: 1100 San Mateo, Suite 15 (Lomas and San Mateo)
When: Noon - 2 p.m., Saturday, April 7
Cost: $2 per child.
