Other July 4 Weekend Events
Pork and BrewOver 50 BBQ competitors from around the U.S. will be competing for the chance to go to the nationals held in Kansas City. Get out and taste some of the best BBQ there is in the parking lot of the Santa Ana Star Center. There will be activities for the kids as well as arts and crafts vendors.
When: Noon - 9 p.m. Friday, July 1; 10 a.m. - 7 p.m. Saturday, July 2; Noon - 6 p.m. Sunday, July 3
Where: Santa Ana Star Center, 3001 Civic Centre Circle.
Cost: $5 adults, $3 for anyone 50+ and children 2 - 12.
Mountainair Firecracker Jubilee
This is the 36th (!) firecracker festival for Mountainair. Because of the fire restrictions, there will be no fireworks display this year. But there will be a pancake breakfast, Texas Hold 'Em tournament, pie contest, parade, and a whole lot more. Head down for a weekend of fun. There will be a car show at the Salinas National Park and on July 3, there will be historic re-enactments of a shootout at the Shaffer Hotel.
When: July 1 -3; event times vary; Jubilee begins 11:30 a.m. at Mountainair Park.
Where: Mountainair and Salinas Pueblo Mission
Cost: Most events are free, some entry fees for contests.
Corbin Hayes Memorial 4th of July Flag Football Tournament
The tournament takes place July 3 - 4 at Rio Rancho High School football stadium. Entry fee is $200 per team, with the chance to play a minimum of three games.
When: 8 a.m. - 8 p.m. July 3, 8 a.m. - 6 p.m. July 4
Where: Rio Rancho High School, 301 Loma Colorado
DK Hoopsters Basketball Tournament
The tournament takes place July 2 - 4 at Rio Rancho High School stadium. Entry fee is $200 per team, or $150 if registered by June 19. Enter into 4 on 4 full court play, with a four-game pool and single-elimination playoff, or a 1 on 1, two-game pool and single-elimination playoff. Games are officiated by certified referees, with the chance to play a minimum of three games.
When: 8 a.m. - 8 p.m. July 2 and 3, 8 a.m. - 6 p.m. July 4

Hinkle Family Fun Center Special
The attractions at Hinkle Fun Center are $10 for two hours of unlimited fun on all main attractions. Choose from miniature golf, go karts, bumper boats, rock climbing, lazer tag, bumper cars and more.
When: 10 a.m. - 2 p.m., July 4
Where: Indian School and Tramway
Cost: $10 per person.
