For the price of a little bit of popping corn, some lawn chairs and a little bit of time, you can opt in to one of the best free events Albuquerque has to offer: Free Friday Nights at the Movies.

Discover Civic Cinema classics at the Harry Kinney Civic Plaza on five summer Friday nights. The City of Albuquerque is offering its Classic Cinema series to anyone who wants to save some money while enjoying great cinema and beautiful Albuquerque summer nights.

War of the Worlds

West Side Story

What You Need to Know:

  • Movies begin at 9:00 p.m.
  • Civic Plaza is located at 3rd and Marquette downtown.
  • All films will be captioned for the hearing impaired.
  • You can bring food, so pack yourself a picnic, bring some blankets and chairs. Tables will be provided.
  • Alcoholic beverages and glass containers are not permitted.
  • Well behaved pets on a leash are allowed, but bring a bag for possible cleanup duty.
