Santa Ana Star Search Looks for the Next Star

The Santa Ana Star Search put out the call and New Mexico answered. The statewide talent contest called for performers to submit videos, and so far, over 200 entrants answered. You can see them sing, dance and perform their way toward the chance for the grand prize.

Winner takes all in this contest, which is both a $10,000 grand prize, and an opportunity to sign a one year development contract with a national talent agent.

Preliminary bouts will take place three nights in February, and a final round takes place March 12, 2011, to determine the winner. And everyone can be part of the process.

Social Media Casts its Vote
Chosen entrants will have their videos posted at the Star Center website, and on YouTube. Anyone can be part of the process, from choosing favorites to cheering them on. Anyone can vote. through Facebook and Twitter.

Showcase Events
There will be four live events showcasing finalists, beginning in February and ending in March. The live event dates are:

February 5, 7 p.m.

February 12, 7 p.m.

February 26, 7 p.m.

March 12, 7 p.m.

The final showcases take place at the Bosque Events Center, located at the Santa Ana Casino, 54 Jemez Canyon Road in Bernalillo.
