There are several drop off places for Christmas tree recycling. Recycle them at the centers listed below.
Soilutions will take your tree during the hours they are open.In order for Christmas trees to be recycled into mulch, they must be free of any ornaments, tinsel, stands or spikes.
There is no charge for recycling Christmas trees. Any other waste disposal brought at the same time, however, is subject to normal waste disposal charges.

Closed Sunday and Monday. Closed through January 2, 2013. Soilutions takes your Christmas tree anytime for recycling, minus the tinsel and decorations. Charge is $2 per tree. No end date for tree recycling.

The Rio Rancho sports complex is an open area and accessible at all times. However, it is recommended drop off takes place during daylight hours.

Commercial quantities of trees cannot be accepted.
Rio Rancho treecycling locations will be available for tree drop off from January 2 to January 18, 2013. The cut trees must have all decorations, tinsel, tree spikes and stands removed. Rio Rancho will mulch the trees, and then the mulch will be available for free to Rio Rancho and Sandoval county residents on a first- come, first-served basis.
7. Los Lunas

The village of Los Lunas has a drop-off area for Christmas trees at its recycling center, which is located behind the Fred Luna Senior Center. The service will be provided for trees without ornaments, tinsel, decorations, etc.
