9th Annual Turkey Trek
Bring the family for a morning of fun that benefits The Storehouse. Events include a kids' fun run, a 2 mile fitness walk or a 5k run, with all age divisions, including divisions for seniors and kids. Bring a non-perishable food item and/or clothing in good, clean condition to help those in need.
When: Events start at 8 a.m., November 26
Where: Start at Dartmouth and Central in Albuquerque's Nob Hill.
Cost: Event prices vary, but start at $10.
28th Annual Thanksgiving Day 5k
The flat course makes for easy running through the beautiful Country Club and Tingley Beach area. Last year over 500 participated. The Salvation Army will be on hand to collect your food and cash donations.
When: 9 a.m., Thursday, November 26
Where: Kit Carson Park, Alcade and Kit Carson SW
Cost: $23 on or before 11/21, $28 beginning 11/22
In Rio Rancho
Hobbler Gobbler Thanksgiving Day Run
Join in the fun with an invigorating walk or run, and feel good knowing a portion of the proceeds will go to RunFit, an after school running program for children. Registration closing date is November 24 at Noon. Events include a 10k, 5k run and walk, and a kid k.
When: 9 a.m. November 26

In Santa Fe
29th Annual Fowl Day Run
You'll help support the Salvation Army food drive by entering this event. Events include a 5k fun fun or a 3k walk. Organized by the Santa Fe Striders.
When: 9 a.m. start, Saturday, November 21
Where: Behind the Fort Marcy Sports Complex, Santa Fe
Cost: Non-perishable food item, cash, or check made out to Salvation Army.
Atalaya Turkey Trot
The course runs through scenic east side Santa Fe. Events include a 5K Run/Walk and a 1K Fun Run. Proceeds go to supporting the physical education program at Atalaya. Also bring children and adult shoes to the event, which will go to a shoe drive for Kenya.
When: 9 a.m., Thursday, November 26
Where: Atalaya Elementary, 721 Camino Cabra, Santa Fe
Cost: $10 to start when pre-registering.
