The well loved Artichoke Cafe features savory salmon crepes, Sicilian baked eggs, quiche Florentine, steamed artichokes, roasted garlic, charcuterie plate, crab cakes, soups, salads, entrees and strawberry shortcake for dessert. Entrees include baked ham, pan roasted duck breast, poached salmon, mushroom ravioli, prosciutto wrapped scallops, veal scaloppini and steak Diane.

Bien Shur Buffet at Sandia Resort

Breakfast items include an omelet station, Belgian waffles, scrambled eggs, spinach quiche and eggs Benedict in cheddar sauce. The cold station includes fresh fruit, macaroni and potato salad, cheese display, seafood and salad. There will be tortilla soup, a hot station with pork shoulder, short ribs, snapper and more. The carving station features turkey breast and brown sugar cured prime rib. The kid's corner includes fried chicken, macaroni and cheese and pigs in a blanket. Desserts include cakes, pies and pastries. Reservations are highly recommended.

Blade's Bistro

Blades has established a reputation for fine dining in Placitas. Join them for Mother's Day brunch. Start with watermelon gazpacho, insalata Caprese or Andijvie salad. Entrees include pan seared scallops and veal marsala. Dessert choices are strawberry shortcake, decadence chocolate trio, ice cream and more. Blade's Bistro is in the Homestead Village.

The popular Nob Hill French bistro offers a special buffet for Mother's Day. There will be honey glazed ham, roast beef, a crepe station, salad bar, Gravlax with traditional accompaniments, lemon roasted chicken, shrimp cocktail, oysters on the half shell, Ratatouille nicoise, Beoff Bourguinon, pastries and more. Reservations are recommended.

If you’re looking for truly local flavor, try El Pinto. El Pinto offers its regular Sunday brunch menu for chile lovers. Try the Eggs Benedict, which includes eggs and pork loin on a green chile biscuit with a red hollandaise sauce, or green chile cheese biscuits smothered in green chile white gravy with a side of chorizo. Kids 12 and under eat free with an El Pinto website coupon.

Local foods are on the menu and become items such as a garden omelet with local corizo, a herbed-mushroom goat cheese omelet, or enchiladas and eggs.
