Artichoke Cafe

The well loved Artichoke Cafe features savory salmon crepes, Sicilian baked eggs, quiche Florentine, steamed artichokes, roasted garlic, charcuterie plate, crab cakes, soups, salads, entrees and strawberry shortcake for dessert. Entrees include baked ham, pan roasted duck breast, poached salmon, mushroom ravioli, prosciutto wrapped scallops, veal scaloppini and steak Diane.

Bien Shur Buffet at Sandia Resort

Breakfast items include omelets made to order, Belgian waffles, sausage and honey bacon, quiche, scrambled eggs, breakfast potatoes and eggs Benedict with green chile hollandaise. The Farmer's Market display includes fresh fruit, artisinal cheeses, ceasar salad, potato salad, macaroni salad, shrimp and oyster cocktail a spring greens salad bar, and whole poached salmon with deviled eggs.  There will be chicken chowder with corn kernels, chef's specials that include trout, steak, chicken marsala, pork ribs, pasta salad, grill squashes and roasted puree with crispy garlic. The carving station features red chile-mustard basted prime rib and orange-fennel brined turkey breast. The kid's selection includes fried chicken drumsticks, macaroni and cheese and pigs in a blanket. Desserts will be a lavish display of treats. Reservations are highly recommended.

Blade's Bistro

Blades has established a reputation for fine dining in Placitas. Join them for Mother's Day brunch. Their brunch menu includes a smoked salmon platter, soup, salads, brunch favorites such as steak and eggs, banana pancakes and eggs Benedict. Entrees include croque monsieur and fettucini alla carbonara. Dessert choices include creme brulee and bread pudding. Blade's Bistro is in the Homestead Village.

Chama River Brewing Company

The Chama Brewing Company will have a Mother's Day brunch that features pancakes on request, yogurt with granola, fresh fruit, breakfast pastries, quiche, eggs Benedict, bacon and sausage, assorted salads, cheese platter, smoked salmon, seasonal vegetables, glazed ham, roast beef, and assorted desserts and pastries. Reservations are recommended.
Cost: $28 per person, $15 children 5-12, kids 4 and under eat free.

The regular menu also includes chef's additions for Mother's Day. Start with breakfast items such as huevos rancheros and a specialty omelet, vanilla yogurt and vanilla pancakes, or bananas foster waffles. You'll find smoked salmon and spinach salad, filet and shrimp, and prime rib au jus with spring vegetables.

El Pinto

If you’re looking for truly local flavor, try El Pinto. El Pinto offers its regular Sunday brunch menu for chile lovers. Try the Eggs Benedict, which includes eggs and pork loin on a green chile biscuit with a red hollandaise sauce, or green chile cheese biscuits smothered in green chile white gravy with a side of chorizo. Kids 12 and under eat free with an El Pinto website coupon.

Farm & Table

Fresh means so many things, but when it comes to food, it's such a welcome descriptor! Local foods are on the menu and become items such as a garden omelet with local corizo, a herbed-mushroom goat cheese omelet, or enchiladas and eggs. The menu depends on what's available and fresh. Forque at the Hyatt downtown will have omelettes made to order, Belgian waffles, domestic and imported cheeses, a salad bar, seafood station, pasta station, and a carving station with roasted turkey, mesquite sirloin and whole roasted ham. Cost: $46.95 adults, $30.95 seniors, $19.50 children six and older. Children five and younger eat free.

Grove Cafe & Market

The Grove has a regular off the menu Sunday brunch, and for Mother's Day, will also have a French Toast or Egg special. The Grove specializes in using local ingredients in an inventive and tasteful way, with an emphasis on fresh, organic produce.

Hotel Andaluz

The Andaluz champagne brunch features a breakfast table with eggs Benedict, sausage, bacon, pancakes and an omelet station. Reservations required.
